Last year, pupils currently in P5 - 7 read 19,328,459 (nineteen million, three hundred and twenty eight thousand, four hundred and fifty nine) words between them as part of the Accelerated English Programme! This year, Accelerated Reader begins again with pupils eager to surpass last year's total. With a range of new books and a new group of P4 pupils ready to join in, let's try and surpass 20 million words!! And don't forget the Irish, the children also read millions of words in Irish - so there's a whole lot of reading going on at the Gaelscoil.
