With our Open Mornings for Naíscoil and Primary 1 this week, we thought we would focus this week's gallery on the Naíscoil pupils. A few years ago one of the children called the Naíscoil, 'the big fun house'. There is always plenty of noise coming from the Naíscoil, evidence that the children are having a lot of fun. This emphasis on fun runs throughout our Foundation Stage (Nursery up to Primary 2), when one looks at the Scandinavian system where most children do not start formal schooling until the age of 6, it is vital that our pupils continue to see school as a big fun house in the early years and beyond.
