Irish-speaking Competition - Update 5
There is a lot of talk about the need for resilience, among young and old, after what we have been through over the last year or so. Children are very often the most resilient among us, but when it comes to the 'Irish-language Resilience' i.e. their capacity to maintain the language despite the limited exposure to it, our pupils have done fantastically well. First day back after the recent week-off, the children came straight back speaking Irish - it was lovely to hear. We are not sure if the Irish Competition has anything to do with it, but suspect that it might.
Very, very close scoring this week, with the Monkeys and the Baked Beans sharing top spot:
Rang 1 Tigers: 40 points
Rang 2 Rockets: 40 points
Rang 3 Dinosaurs: 41 points
Rang 4 Monkeys: 45 points
Rang 5 Beans: 45 points
Rang 6 Snakes: 40 points
Rang 7 Gaels: 40 points
