The children have been complaining of exhaustion ever since, but this year's Sportathon was yet another success as the sun shone briefly on Clonoe for a lovely morning taking part in a range of sports; obstacle races, poc fada, rás ruathar (solo race), cic fada, crossbar challenge, keepie-upies, penalty kicks and a 200m dash. The primary objectives of having fun and getting some exercise were well and truly met, the secondary objective of raising funds for the school were also met, although we do not yet have a final figure. Watch this space for more information next week on how much was raised and who got the prizes for raising the most!
