Over the Moon
Take a look at this report in English about the Moon from the P7 pupils. When we teach the children how to write, we use a three-step process: modelled, shared then guided. Modelled writing is when the teacher writes a particularly piece while externalising her thought processes, thinking out loud as it were. The P7's report here on the Moon is an example of the second step, where the children work together to create a piece of writing themselves. The final step is when they work on their own (under the guidance of the teacher) to produce their own piece of writing, independently. Watch this 'space' (pardon the pun) for more reports on the planets and the solar system over the next few weeks from Rang 7, I am sure they will be out of this world (sorry).
