While a few capes from Harry Potter ended up in next door's garden, the wind and rain didn't dampen spirits on World Book Day 2019. As ever, the children read a lot in the morning and then spent the afternoon with EB White and Maurice Sendak (name their famous books) on the big screen. This year's winning characters were : Little Red Riding Hood, Alice in Wonderland, Willy Wonka, Stickman, The BFG, Horrid Henry, Dorothy, The Cat in the Hat, Laura Ingells, Ms Trunchbull, Danny Champion of the World, Little Bo Peep and Soot.
